The travel industry describes Antigua as being one of the ABC islands - Antigua, Bonaire, and Curaco and positioned outside what is known as "hurricane alley" when these storms occur, June to November. You may see some rain each day but most likely not the devestation that other islands suffer from strong winds. Worst case may be flight delays as the planes chart routes around rough weather systems. That happened to us one year in Punta Cana. We were delayed 8 hours leaving D.R. because the plane coming from Toronto has to outwait a weather system going through Florida. We enjoyed more hours at our resort; not so lucky for the folks in Toronto waiting to leave but confident that they would be traveling in safe weather, nontheless.
