Recently returned from a week in beautiful st. Kitts and Nevis.

Flew from Toronto on Skyservice. Service was good, but be sure to reconfirm flight times.

Weather was fantastic. Brief showers during the day made it comfortable.

Stayed in a luxury villa near Frigate Bay. Check out www.calypsobayresorts.com

Great for 2 couples or family with older children.

Took the ferry to Nevis and visited a lovely villa in Gingerland. (www.villacaribbean.com) Excellent for honeymooners.

Did a full day tour of St. Kitts with Greg's Safari. Very knowledgeable guide. Check out www.gregsafaris.com
Visited Thomas Warner's Tomb, Bloody River, Sandy Point, Dieppe Bay, Golden Lemon for lunch, black rocks and a mysterious sunken hole.

Had dinner at Turtle Beach Bar & Grill. Delicious lobster and steak dinner. Saw Wilber the pig and Tarzana the resident monkey. Happy hour is from 5-6PM at the beach bar. Enjoyed the bonfire and live music. Check out www.turtlebeach1.com You can stay in one of their beach apts.

Enjoyed dinner and drinks at Mr. X's Shiggidy Shack at Frigate Bay. This is a great place to watch the sunset and see the green flash while sipping a cocktail. This is a favorite hangout for locals. They have live music and a bonfire on Thursday's and karaoke on Saturday's. Check out www.mrxwatersports.com

Had lunch at Ballahoo's in Basseterre - near the Circus. Great place to people watch. Service and food were very good. www.ballahoo.com

Visited the Body Haven Spa located in the Sands Complex. You can have a massage, manicure, pedicure or facial. http://sknvibes.com/bodyhaven

If you want to send an e-mail back home, check out the Sunsurf Internet Cafe in the TDC Mall on Fort Street.

Had breakfast at the Oasis Cafe in the TDC Mall. Delicious omelletes.

For ladies clothing, check out Splash for colourful Jams World apparel and Island Hopper for Caribelle Batik fashions.

Had lunch at Bambu's - excellent Mahi Mahi burgers. Service was good.

Enjoyed dinner at Spratnets. They serve chicken, ribs or fish. Great place to lime with the locals.

If you want a relaxing holiday on a beautiful, unspoiled island I highly recommend St. Kitts and Nevis! :)

I also went fishing with No Problem Boat Charters. Lots of fun - didn't catch the "big one" ;D

www.fishstkittsandnevis.com

They have a 35 foot Viking sport fishing boat called Miss Ashley.

They do half day fishing charters as well as full day.

They also do private snorkeling charters.
